Think about having coffee while dangling 60 meters in the air?
We just got back from Sironka Valley Resort in Kajiado, and let me tell you—this place is not for the faint of heart. But if you live for a good view and a bit of a rush, it’s basically heaven.
Here’s why Sironka is the coolest resort you’ve probably never heard of.
The 5:00 AM Hustle
The best adventures start while everyone else is still dreaming. We met up at a Shell station in Nakuru at 5:00 AM. A quick prayer, and we were chasing the sunrise toward Naivasha for some coffee.
We eventually linked up with the Nairobi crew at Waterfront Mall in Karen, and that’s when the energy really doubled. If you’re planning this trip, the drive through Kiserian is half the magic—those deep valleys and wild landscapes are everything.
Welcome to “Pure Valley“
“Sironka” actually means Pure Valley in Maasai, and they aren’t kidding. It’s tucked deep in Kajiado, and the moment you arrive, you feel that rich Maasai spirit mixed with pure serenity.
But we weren’t just there to look at the trees. We were there for the thrills.
Sky Biking & Hanging Cafés
Sironka has some “firsts” that you won’t find anywhere else in Kenya:
- Sky Biking: This is one of Africa’s longest and highest sky biking experiences. You’re literally pedaling across a thin wire through the sky. The views? Unmatched.
- The Sky Café: Imagine Kenya’s first hanging café suspended on a zipline 60 meters above the valley. You can sip coffee or wine while just… dangling. You feel like a bird, but with snacks.
More Than Just Height
If being suspended in the air isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of ground-level fun:
- Archery: 12 arrows per game to test your aim.
- Ziplining: Gliding across the green valleys.
- Hiking & Obstacle Courses: For when you want to get your sweat on.
The Perfect End
We wrapped up the day with some legendary Nyama Choma in Kiserian town. There’s no better way to end an adventure than with good meat and even better friends.
You don’t need a 4×4 to get here (though we had one in the convoy), and it’s only about an hour from Nairobi. So, if you’re looking to level up your weekend, Sironka is calling.
