Are you paying too much? Here is Kenya’s cheapest go-karting arena!

We found a total game-changer. If you’re in Kenya and want that adrenaline fix without emptying your wallet, you need to check out the Rift Valley Motor and Sports Club.

Here is how our wild, rainy, and surprisingly cheap adventure went down.

The Road Trip Gamble

We started the day meeting up at Magunas Supermarket near KITI. The plan was simple: a day of racing.

But then, the rain started.

Big, heavy drops hitting the windshield had us all wondering if our plans were literally about to be washed away. We pushed on to Bahati anyway.

Fun fact: “Bahati” means luck in Swahili, and we were definitely leaning on that.

Picnic Vibes & Divine Timing

When we pulled into the club, it was pouring. We had to huddle in our cars and just wait it out.

Then, like magic, the clouds parted right when Alice arrived. She’s the only female driver in our circle, and she honestly brought the sunshine with her.

We didn’t waste a second. We set up the ultimate picnic:

  • Snacks and drinks from our Magunas run
  • Great music and even better stories
  • Just pure vibes while we waited for our racing slot.

The Main Event: 200 Bob Go-Karting?

Yes, you read that right.

At just 200 Kenyan Shillings per lap, this has to be the most affordable go-karting in the country.

Most places charge a fortune for a few minutes of track time, but here, we could go lap after lap without the guilt. Even if you’ve never driven a car before, these things are simple and addictive.

We threw on our jumpsuits, strapped in, and just went for it. There’s nothing like that feeling of drifting through a corner with your friends cheering (or laughing) on the sidelines.

A Sunset Finish

To wrap up a perfect day, we chased the sun to the Free Area in Nakuru.

We caught a sunset view overlooking Lake Nakuru that was so beautiful it didn’t even look real. It was the perfect, quiet end to a high-speed day.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly thrill, stop overthinking and just head to the Rift Valley Motor and Sports Club. Your wallet will thank you.
